My values and core beliefs, shaped by a lifetime of experiences as an advocate, a mother, a writer, a teacher, a wife, and a citizen with global perspective, lead me to a vision of a government that cares for our neighbors who need it most – our children, our elderly, and our neediest.

When I have the privilege to represent you on the DuPage County Board, my promise to you is that I will act to achieve these things for you, and for our communities:

Fight for a Fair Budget

• Advocate for a common sense, balanced budget
• Ease the tax burden on working and middle-class families
• Preserve and expand essential services like family assistance programs and flooding alleviation

Bring Accountability to County Government

• Vote against pay hikes and excessive health benefits for County Board members
• End secret, no-bid contracts for County projects
• End the corrupt practice of handing out large contracts to campaign donors and enforce clear, firm rules for contributions

Increase Government Transparency

• Create direct lines of communications with residents, giving all a voice
• Meet with residents all year – not just during campaign season
• Move public board meetings to times when more residents can attend and provide input
• Provide video recordings of every single committee meeting so voters know what is being discussed and have time to make their opinions known

Advocate for Improved Quality of Life

• Demand fair wages, leading to greater financial security for ourselves and our children
• Ensure that residents in need of healthcare have an advocate
• Address the opioid epidemic that is endangering our children’s future
